Minutes of Meeting Sept. 22, 2009

Meeting called to order at 7:45 PM

The meeting opened with a reinforcement of guidelines for meetings and penalties if you do not meet the meeting requirements.  THE INTERPRETATION MEETING HAS BEEN CHANGED TO OCT 29.  The secretary explained the CHSAA situation to the group, in short there is no more Bklyn Queens CHSAA, there is one league and the assigners of Officials are John Letscher and Phil Sallustio. In line with that Phil Sallustio addressed the group explaining how the operation is working and how to apply for a spot on the staff.  The interpretation meeting in Nassau is Nov. 4 @ Baldwin HS, Staten Island Oct. 2 at Farrell H.S. 7PM., West. Suffolk Oct.7 @Connectquot HS, East Suffolk Oct 19,@ Polish Hall Riverhead, Bklyn Nov 18 @ Bishop Ford HS.        

The Board donated more than $4000 to the Blow the Whistle for Cancer campaign, it was 3^rd or 4^th highest amount in IAABO.  The Secretary spoke about mailing of minutes, this will be the last year hard copy mailings of minutes will be sent to members.  Next year it will be in the form of e-mail, or you will be able to go to the website to view the minutes.  Make sure I have your e-mail address we will finally get into the 21^st century.  FRESHMAN TOURNEY @ ST. Enclosed are membership cards and refresher test, Refresher test to be returned to ERNIE RUDLOFF answer sheet only by the Oct. 29 meeting, you must take and pass this test to remain in good standing. Ernie went over some info received at the IAABO seminar
