Minutes of meeting 10/29/09

Meeting called to order by Pres. Dave Schoenfeld at 7:40 PM

This was the annual interpretation meeting in addition to interpretations presented by our interpreters Ernie and Joe, there was a presentation by our guest EXECUTIVE SECRETARY TOM LOPES which was well received by all in attendance.

Just a few reminders the Freshman Tourney will take place on 12/6, 12/8, & 12/13 @ St. Francis Prep. Volunteers are always needed, remember it counts as a meeting. Your help is always needed contact Joe White if you are interested. The Roster Books were distributed, if there are any discrepancies get to the secretary so it can be corrected, BLOW THE WHISTLE ON CANCER was discussed and forms were available for your use. The Secretary has forms and white or pink whistles for each of you to use during the week of Jan 25- 30 2010. Whistles will be at the Frosh tourney and also at the candidates floor test on Dec 12 @ Cathedral and Dec 13 @ McClancy from about 8 AM to 11 AM. Last years response was outstanding lets try to match it and the Board will donate $1000 in addition to what you come up with.  If you need forms give me a call 631 725 9431 and I will send the form. The checks are to be made out to American Cancer Society and sent to the secretary and he will forward to IAABO, for proper distribution. DUES ARE $85 ALWAYS DUE ON THE LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY AFTER THAT THE DUES ARE $100 UNTIL THE DINNER, AFTER THE DINNER THE TARIFF IS $125.

HERE WE GO AGAIN, HOOPS, HOOPS AND MORE HOOPS.  LETS KEEP EVERYTHING IN THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE KEEP YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT.  WHETHER YOU RELAIZE IT OR NOT HOOPS ARE JUST ANOTHER PHASE OF LIFE AND USUALLY A SMALL ONE AT THAT, TREAT IT THAT WAY.  REMEMBER YOUR FAMILY IS NUMERO UNO, NEXT YOUR JOB,AND THEN MAYBE HOOPS. I AM SURE IF YOU KEEP THAT IN MIND YOUR HOOP SEASON WILL BE A SUCCESS. THROW IT UP HIGH, BE IN SHAPE, KNOW THE RULES AND YOU ARE A NATURAL.  ENJOY THE SEASON AND MOST OF ALL ENJOY THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH YOUR FAMILIES AND HAVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR.
